Eli is 17days old today. I took him to his two week appointment on Friday and he already weighs 9 pounds. Yes, all my babies have been very healthy and over sized. Ava will be 3 October 21, but looks like she is 3 going on four. Life around here with two little ones has been good. We have had wonderful friends that have taken good care of us, bringing us very yummy dinners and inviting Ava to play, giving me time with Eli and time to sleep. We are so blessed to know such giving people. It really has been a great example to me on what a wonderful thing service is and a desire to do more to serve others.

Eli is such a sweet baby. Since he is my second baby, I realize even more how fast the time goes by and they grow up so fast. I love holding him and the cute little sounds he makes. He looks a lot like Ava and Justin (those Petersons have strong jeans) he is super cute. Ava loves singing Twinkle Twinkle to him and gives him lots (to many) kisses and hugs. Every time she wakes him up with kisses and hugs I just tell myself he needs to get used to commotion while he is sleeping because he has a very active sister!

Peterson Family of Four

We finally got some pictures up of our little guy yesterday thanks to Justin. I just wanted to let everyone know how wonderful it has been to have Eli in our family. He has been a wonderful little baby. He sleeps a lot and the only time he cries is when he either needs to be fed or his diaper changed. Oh, and let me tell you...changing a boys diaper is a lot different than changing a girls diaper. For one thing, every time I take his diaper off he thinks it is time to go to the bathroom, both number 1 and number 2. Needless to say, I have done a ton of laundry and learned not to change his diaper on my bed.
It has been so much fun to hold him and kiss him. Little babies are just so yummy. We both love being parents of two beautiful children, we feel so lucky. It has also been wonderful to have Justins family here this week. It makes me feel not so far away from home. We had to miss the Peterson Family Reunion, but I feel we are having our own little reunion here in Omaha. Ava has loved playing with everyone. She loves her little brother too. She always asks to "pet" Eli. She loves kissing him and gets excited every time she sees him. It is fun to see them together

Eli Justin Peterson

This is Eli he was born on August first 2008. He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. He likes to sleep and wiggle around. He also cries and eats once in a while.

I can't believe I have two kids

Ava isn't quite sure what to think of her little brother. She is having a hard time adjusting to less motherly attention.
